Making Raw Cheese

These are large cheese curds. I am breaking them up into 1/2" cubes.

The end product is mozzarella cheese which is resting in brine for a day.

Emeline in Diagonal Lace Dress

 The slip is a peek-a-boo in the back, also. I love that! I like to use beauty pins on a dress like this. The slip has the plastic snaps that are dry cleanable. (They don't melt under the iron.) I never dry clean an heirloom dress. I use the sink, water, and baking soda.

 One great aspect of this dress is that it does not wrinkle like most Batiste dresses do. I think it is because the dress is mostly made of lace and tiny folded tucks. This dress is a mother's dream. Though, I still have Emeline wear the slip in the car seat, and I put the dress on when we get to our destination!

The pattern is Wendy Schoen's Diagonal Lace Christening Gown. I made it into a dress instead of a Christening Gown. I made all the band groups in the round and then connected them. With much prayer, they all fit together! I do this because I don't like folded tucks seamed together. This is my favorite dress!
